Marlene Pelt:
Southern Gospel Singer / Songwriter

From the great State of Oklahoma and from the City of Roland comes to you a Singer and Songwriter by the name of Marlene Pelt!

Marlene was born in Santa Paula, California to L.G. & Dorothy Stafford and later they all moved to Hackett, Arkansas. She grew up with her parent’s and three brothers in a very Godly home constantly surrounded by Gospel Music. Marlene accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior following him in water baptism at the tender age of seven. It was at that moment that God began laying the foundation to direct her life into music.

Marlene through her Gospel Music career has sung with many local groups through the years. She started writing meaningful and purposeful Gospel Songs at 24 years of age but it was not until 20 years later she started walking through the doors God began to open for her and her music. Stepping out with faith in God and the support of her husband, Tommy Pelt, she sings her words of testimony. Together they make a great team they both desire to help Christians by way of Encouragement, Building Up their Faith to bring JOY to their lives. Most importantly share the message and Love of Jesus to the LOST.
 
Marlene has dedicated her total life to Jesus Christ and by being Faithful and Obedient to the Calling and Ministry that God bestowed on her in turn He has Blessed her in many ways!!.

Marlene has won many Awards such as Female Vocalist of the Year in 2003, 2004 & 2005 and Gospel Pen Writer of the Year 2004 in the "Branson Singer Songwriters Association"! Marlene is a member and in good standing with CGMA (Country Gospel Music Association) winning the Award with them in the state of Minnesota,  “2009 New female Artist of the Year.” CGMA also awarded Marlene with “2009 New International Female Artist of the Year” in the city and State of Branson Missouri. Marlene was awarded the "CGMA 2010 Central Full time Songwriter" and "CGMA 2010 Central Full time Female Vocalist" and is a "2010 Diamond Award Nominee"

Marlene is a registered BMI Songwriter and also owns her own Publisher Company which is (Marlene Stafford Pelt Publishing/BMI).

In 2003, Marlene went into the studio for the very first time and recorded her music that has stood the test of time. Her music has blessed and touched many hearts through her ministry of song.

Several Artists have recorded her songs such as Kevin Spencer and Friends who released one of Marlene's compositions entitled "One Stone At A Time.” It went to # 1 in the Christian Voice Magazine Top 100 and # 1 on Power Source Magazine, # 31 on the Singing News Top 80 and placing on many other Charts. In the early part of 2008, they also recorded and released it to DVD along with another one of Marlene’s songs “Go and Tell”. She is thankful to have had many of her songs recorded by other artist like "Amazed" with Eddie Crook Company from Sherman, Texas, the Lecroy Sisters from Branson, Missouri, Kevin Martin from Bradenton Florida, “The Hallmark Quartet” from Ironton Ohio and several local and independent Artists.

Marlene, not only a writer but she can also holds Concerts, Special Christian Seminars and other Speaking Engagements.


Marlene never wants to fail to give all the honor and glory to God for her accomplishments. Her hearts desire is to use her talent and gift to serve God and to reach as many people as she can bringing hope and encouragement with her music.
